Description
Halemanu, meaning 'bird house' in Hawaiian, is a trail which provides ample opportunities for bird watching. The trail is well manicured and makes its way through koa, ohia and lehua trees. The trail begins to the right of the ranger station. The path remains level for much of its length and offers occasional views. The trail drops quickly near its end, before reaching Halemanu Road. Turn back here, or turn left on Halemanu road to continue hiking.
